The Apostolic House of Prayer of Martha’s Vineyard, Inc.  has faithfully served the Vineyard community since 1978, when it was first established at the home of Pastor Marcia J. Buckley in the island Town of Oak Bluffs.

Our mission has been to provide the diverse community of Martha’s Vineyard with the means to achieve physical and spiritual wellness by attending to the needs of the whole man or woman in mind, body and soul through reconciliation unto GOD, the Father, through OUR SAVIOR, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Basic Beliefs

  • The Bible is the infallible Word of GOD and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (2 Tim. 3:16)
  • There is one GOD, who has revealed Himself as the Father, in His Son, JESUS CHRIST and as the HOLY GHOST. (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 44:8b; Mat. 12:29)
  • Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the anointing sacrifice of JESUS CHRIST. (Rom, 3:23-25)
  • GOD is faithful to forgive our sins when we come to Him with a repentant heart and mind. We must be baptized through water immersion in the name of JESUS for the remission of sins and to receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST. (1 John 1:9; Acts 2:38)
  • We are to love GOD first and one another. And we are to live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship GOD joyfully. (Mark 12:30-31)
  • JESUS CHRIST is coming to Earth again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous, eternal death. (1 Thes. 4:16-17; Rev. 20:11-15)
